Elizabeth Rollins – Preschool
Elizabeth Rollins has over 20 years experience in Early Childhood Education. She considers it a blessing to partner with parents and students to nurture lifelong learners who will bless & inspire the world. Elizabeth’s background with Early Intervention programs has increased her belief that every child is uniquely made and has a place in this world that only that child can fill.
As the director and a teacher of Stafford Academy Elizabeth looks forward to leading the school with her vivacious love for children and desire for enriching children’s education. She feels blessed to be a part of a Christ centered school that helps each child reach their greatest potential. Elizabeth and her staff’s activities are planned around activities that grow children cognitively, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually through play and hands on learning.
Elizabeth’s hope is that when you and your child walk through the school doors that you are instantly filled with the knowledge that not only would your child be loved and cared for you but that you and your entire family would be as well.
On a personal note, she enjoys arts and crafts, hiking, camping, horse back ridding and just about any outdoor activity with her two children.
Tammy Swanson – Preschool
Tammy Swanson’s teaching ministry began 35 years ago. She has experience developing and directing Preschool, Pre-K, Before and After school programs, summer camps, leading Chapel, and teaching P.E. for 4th-12th grade.
It is her hearts desire to inspire children to see their God given potential, teaching them Biblical life lessons and seeing each child grow more in love with Jesus.
Tammy teaches through a thematic approach with a variety of hands-on experiences. School should be fun and full of messy and exciting activities that will draw each child in to the learning experience.
She encourages learning in the classroom through music, movement, dramatic play, cooking, sensory play, blocks, games, and so much more as the children grow and develop into lifelong learners.
Terri Fegler – Pre-Kindergarten
Terri Fegler has taught Pre-K and Preschool at Stafford Academy since 2008. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children for over 25 years. Terri loves teaching God’s Word to children through stories, drama, object lessons, and art activities.
Along with teaching Preschool, Community School Classes & directing Before & After School Care Programs, she has taught Sunday School, Awana, VBS, and at Christian Summer Camps.
Terri teaches children through a variety of hands-on experiences and a thematic approach as well as individualized learning according to each child’s needs. She loves to give children the opportunity to get messy and play with items not always welcomed into home environments such as Ooblick, Playdough, Paint, Glue, Pudding, Jello and Shaving Cream. She believes strongly that children learn best through play and that teaching children to have fun and to love learning are key ingredients to future success in school. One of her favorite sayings is “Childhood is a journey, not a race.” She loves to watch children’s excitement as they gain new skills, build friendships and begin to believe in, trust and depend on Jesus Christ.
